Destroyed single-family houses, blocks of flats, we walk along the street - in silence ...
A blooming cherry tree next to a dilapidated community center gives a fresh breeze of hope.
Several masts with country flags nearby. Poland among others - with bullet holes.
Nearby we meet women with children coming from the church with a box of "święconek" and the married couple Natalie and Aleksander ... The man is 63 years old and confesses that in the years 1977-1979 he was stationed in the Soviet Union in the GDR. Now he's furious with the Russians.
Everyone tries to smile, they are nice but you can see sadness and pride in them.
1:47 p.m.
We are at the church of St. Andrew and All Saints. It is here that the Russians buried 300 to 400 bodies of murdered Ukrainians in mass graves ... We remain silent. There are no words to describe the enormity of the tragedy.

We're going to my friend Alexander.

Jedziemy do Buczy.
Zniszczone domy jednorodzinne, bloki, chodzimy wzdłuż ulicy - w ciszy…
Kwitnąca wiśnia przy zniszczonym domu kultury daje świeży powiew nadzieji.
Kilka masztów z flagami państw obok. Między innymi Polska - z dziurami po pociskach.
Nieopodal spotykamy kobiety z dziećmi idące z cerkwii z pudełkiem „święconek” oraz małżeństwo Natalie i Aleksandra… Mężczyzna ma 63 lata i zwierza się, że w lata 1977-1979 stacjonował w ramach sowieckich wojsk w NRD. Teraz jest wściekły na Rosjan.
Wszyscy starają się uśmiechać, są mili ale widać w nich smutek i dumę.

Jesteśmy przy cerkwi św. Andrzeja i Wszystkich Świętych. To tu Rosjanie w masowych grobach zakopali 300 do 400 ciał zamordowanych Ukraińców… Milczymy. Brak słów, które mogłyby opisać ogrom tragedii.

Jedziemy do przyjaciela Aleksandra.
Igor Prokofiev jest malarzem. W zeszłym roku zmarła mu żona. Siedzimy w ogródku przy małym wiejskim domu, który jest rodzinnym domem żony Igora. Rozmawiamy z nim o obecnej sytuacji i o jego twórczości. Dwóch synów i brat Igora towarzyszą nam…
24.02.2022 odebrał z drukarni plakat obwieszczający o jego wystawie w Kijowie. Z powodu wojny jednak nie odbyła się…
W powietrzu czuć wiosnę. Odjeżdżamy. Po drodze napotykamy samochód terenowy zarekwirowany a później porzucony przez wojsko Rosyjskie. Wszystkie skradzione samochody momentalnie malowali lakierem w charakterystyczne znaki rozpoznawcze - ten akurat ma litery „V”.
